This public forum held space for encounters between participants of the first Rural Commons Assembly, invited guest speakers and a general public. It consisted of several short input presentations and was followed by an open, moderated conversation.

The presentations highlighted different experiences in establishing and maintaining trans-local networks and learning environments in the fields of art, culture and citizen engagement across Europe. In their presentations, the speakers explored the potentials and challenges of their respective networks with a focus on self-organisation including topics such as the governance, resource-management and communication. Based on those inputs, speakers and audience were together discussing patterns for sustainable cooperation across localities and imagined potential role models for the Alpine context."
