KOMP.ART was an independent classical music orchestra serving as a platform for young musicians and composers with a focus on facilitating new compositions and performing arts collaborations across Austria. KOMP.ART was co-founded by musician Christian Spitzenstaetter and friends in reaction to a lack of self-organised, non-institutional spaces for experimentation in contemporary classical music. Over the course of its existence, KOMP.ART musicians together have initiated and organised more than ten concerts, performances and productions.
